Our Services

Student Counseling

Planting Seeds of Hope

We provide individual counseling, group counseling, psychological tests, and brief consultations. Students may need to address issues related to stress, anxiety, relationships, sexual orientation, career interests, etc. Whatever your concern, we can help you develop skills to cope and adjust. We will be there for you.

Outreach

Offering Individualized Services

To meet diverse needs and provide relevant psychological services, we work with college deans, and department directors and assistant directors. We host case-study seminars, de-briefing sessions, monthly meetings with departments, and classroom presentations (upon request) to help students cope with sudden crises or significant issues.

Mental Health Week/Month

Raising Public Awareness

The theme of Mental Health Week in the fall semester is Life Education and for the spring semester it is Gender Equality. We have organized a series of activities to increase public awareness of both topics. Come join us!

Resource Room

Living without Barriers

Students with educational difficulties are one of our major service targets. As FCU is an accessible campus, we are dedicated to creating an environment in which disabled students feel welcomed and unrestricted.

Faculty Development Workshops

Empowering the Mentors

Our workshops are designed to improve the sensitivity of faculty members so they can identify and help students with unique problems. Workshop topics include basic counseling skills, empathy, mental illnesses, and working with at-risk students. We also offer relaxation and self-care groups to help faculty members take care of their own wellbeing.

Board Games

Meeting Self and Others with Play

Designed by our senior counselors, Dream Catcher combines four topics that concern most university students: academics, intimate relationships, interpersonal relationships, and financial management. In a laid back and safe atmosphere, players gain insight into their own perceptions of the four topics, as well as learn to respect and understand the views of other players of the game.

Student Volunteers

Committing to serve and learn

A team of student volunteers assists the Center with all kinds of activities and chores. They are eager to help, well-trained, and aspire to learn through service. If you are a good listener who is passionate about helping those in need, you are welcome to join our team of volunteers.
